Dr. Siman obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the Department of Chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Cohn. His work focused on the synthesis and in-vivo application of bio-medicinal polymers for both surgeon and patient relief and time saving. Specifically, Dr. Siman had synthesized biodegradable adhesive materials that are applicable to soft-tissue for a replacement of stiches & sutures, saving time and agony for patient and doctors

He obtained his PhD from the Department of Chemistry at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, under the supervision of Prof. Ashraf Brik. There, he worked on developing new synthetic tools and routs for the preparation and stabilization of aggregative proteins for biochemical characterization, which are intangible using known biochemical methods.

Following his PhD, Dr. Siman moved to University of California – Berkeley (UCB) to perform his postdoctoral training under Prof. Omar Yaghi supervision. Worked in the field of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), specifically introducing new series of peptide based sodium MOFs for the separation of CO2 gasses.
